• JULIE ALLEY: Centric
    Centric announced that JULIE ALLEY has joined the agency as account director. Alley’s main responsibility will be to help grow the agency through new business acquisitions. Alley started her career on the client side and worked for companies such as Wells Fargo Bank, Hiram Walker, and Toyota Motor Sales. On the agency side, she has worked with Team One Advertising, Saatchi & Saatchi, Jump Communications, and Impact Marketing & Promotions.
  • LARRY GUERRERO: Bennett Kuhn Varner
    Bennett Kuhn Varner (BKV) has promoted LARRY GUERRERO from associate media director to vice president, media director. He is responsible for managing a media department of 10 planners and buyers at the agency. Prior to joining BKV in 1997 as an account executive, Guerrero was a media planner for Turner Broadcasting and worked on accounts such as Atlanta Hawks, Atlanta Braves, Cartoon Network, and CNN International.

    DENISE GONZÁLEZ has been named director of Universal McCann Puerto Rico, the agency’s arm devoted to media planning, research and buying. González will manage a group of collaborators including media planners, buyers, and analysts. At the agency, she has worked as media buyer, media planner, group media director, and most recently, general director.
  • Levenson & Hill: JENNIFER PEREIRA
    Levenson & Hill announced the promotion of SAIRA HALEEM-HILL and JENNIFER PEREIRA as associate media directors. Haleem-Hill joined Levenson & Hill in January 2001. She previous held the positions of senior broadcast buyer and broadcast buying supervisor with the agency, working on accounts including Gordon’s Jewelers, Warner Bros., and Artisan Pictures. Pereira joined Levenson & Hill in May 1998. Her latest position with the agency was as media planning supervisor, managing accounts that included Papa John’s, Church’s Chicken, Gordon’s, Disney, and Bailey Banks & Biddle Fine Jewelers.

    TIFFAN CLARK has joined Optiem as a senior account executive. In her new position Clark will be a member of the account team for a number of Optiem's clients, including International Steel Group, Max And Erma's, and the City of Cleveland. Most recently, Clark was e-commerce marketing manager for Groove Networks in Beverly, Mass.

  • CHRISTINE GUILFOYLE: Meredith Corporation
    Meredith Corporation has named CHRISTINE GUILFOYLE as national sales manager of Better Homes and Gardens magazine. In her new position, Guilfoyle will oversee all advertising sales functions in Meredith's New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Atlanta offices. Most recently, Guilfoyle served as the New York division manager of People.
  • EDWARD R. MCCARRICK: TIME
    EDWARD R. MCCARRICK has been named to the new position of Worldwide Publisher of TIME. McCarrick, who has served as Publisher of TIME U.S. since March 1999, will now oversee the sales and marketing strategy for the TIME brand on a global basis.
  • JON STEINLAUF: The Scripps Networks Advertising Sales Group
    The Scripps Networks Advertising Sales Group has promoted JON STEINLAUF to senior vice president, ad sales. Steinlauf, formerly vice president, ad sales, will continue to work out of Scripps' New York ad sales office. In his new role, he will oversee advertising sales and ad sales marketing for HGTV, Food Network, DIY and Fine Living. Steinlauf previously directed the advertising for HGTV and DIY within the Eastern region.
