Iconic brand Good Housekeeping is offering what it calls its first accessibility issue. The guest editor is actor Ali Stroker, the first person in a wheelchair ever to appear on the cover.
The May/June issue includes a variety of accessibility coverage, including articles by disabled people about their experiences, and it will continue to provide such content.
The goal, in part, is to “foster a sense of kinship and understanding between disabled and nondisabled people,” says Jane Francisco, editor in chief of Good Housekeeping.
In addition, Good Housekeeping seeks to represent a broad spectrum of disability and include lab-tested, best-in-class items and solutions to help make homes more accessible.
